Indexical opens its doors for another crossover event with the Nowhere Lab, a hypolocal contingent of artists exploring olological investigations at the intersection of games, performance, and media art. In this evening of secrets and surprises, we will be exploring how procedures, rules, games and scores can act as opportunities to experiment with uncanny aesthetics, surreal social environments, and XTRAmusical and interactive, analog performativity.

Featured artists:

Wade Watson
Gabriel Schwartz
Rodrigo Barriga
Elizabeth Szprejda
Basket of Eggs
Harper Ferry
Dashiell Reynoldo

Nowhere Lab

  1. Nowhere Lab is a gaggle of spirals in shapes of culture and co-creation, generating opportunities for critical whimsy.
  2. As a group, they are in devotion to:
    1. the materialization of nonsense
    2. acts of institutional surrealism
    3. opportunities for magical realist community building
  3. The cohort rotates seasonally as they bring critical whimsy to the fringes of public attention through foodless-farm-to-table events. Somewhere between 0 and 1 is Nowhere Lab, and you can tooth! RE:
